'Little Women' Benefit Concert Starts March 23 In Woodstock

Proceeds from concert-style production will benefit RepTour, which provides free theatrical performances for high school students.

WOODSTOCK, GA — For one weekend only, Elm Street Cultural Arts Village will host professional singers and musicians who will perform a classic production chronicling the lives of four sisters during the American Civil War. Showtimes for "Little Women the Musical: A Benefit Concert" are set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24 and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 25 at the Elm Street Stage.

Based on author Louisa May Alcott’s life, "Little Women" follows the adventures of the four March sisters — Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy — who come of age during this deeply divisive time in the country. This weekend's show is expected to embody the "complete theatrical experience, guaranteeing a night filled with laughter, tears and a lifting of the spirit," Elm Street said.

“The story of 'Little Women' is a story in which every single person can relate to," said Siobhan Brumbelow, associate artistic director. “Not only is this production filled with the most talented singers and musicians, but it is filled with heart and moments that will leave you captivated, it’s not something every show can do and it’s incredible to bring it to the Elm Street stage.”
