Riverfest Seeks Sponsors For Children's Play Area
The Service League of Cherokee County will hold its annual Riverfest Arts and Crafts Festival Sept. 29-30 in Canton.

CANTON, GA — The Service League of Cherokee County works year-round to support many county residents by paying for children’s basic needs, scholarships, Christmas gifts and more. Local businesses whose generosity through event sponsorships helps make the Service League’s mission possible.
The Service League of Cherokee County is currently looking for sponsors for the children’s play area for their annual Riverfest Arts and Crafts Festival, which will be held Sept. 29-30 at Etowah River Park in Canton.
Riverfest showcases the finest arts and crafts, entertainment, activities for children, and festival fare the southeast has to offer. This family-oriented event overflows with Southern hospitality and draws more than 25,000 over the weekend.

Two sponsor levels are available, Riverfest Associate for $250 and Children’s Area for $500. In addition, scarecrow kits are available for purchase for you to build a scarecrow to represent your business. Scarecrows will decorate the festival, and then downtown Canton during October.

The sponsor and scarecrow application is available at www.serviceleague.net or by emailing ServiceLeagueSponsors@gmail.com or RiverfestScarecrows@gmail.com. The sponsor deadline is Aug. 31.
The Service League of Cherokee County is one of the oldest service organizations in the county, with a membership of 100 women who work year-round, collectively volunteering more than 10,000 hours per year.
Funds raised during Riverfest, and other fundraising events sponsored by the League, provide families with day-to-day necessities such as food, clothing, dental care, eyeglasses, medical care, rental and utility assistance, scholarships and much more.
