Man Points Gun At Patron During Bar Fight: Police
The subject allegedly pointed the firearm after getting into a fight with another male, the Cherokee Sheriff's Office said.
ACWORTH, GA -- An Acworth man has been charged in connection to a fight in a bar that resulted in him allegedly pointing and pulling the trigger of a firearm at another patron Tuesday evening.
Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office were dispatched around 10:28 p.m. June 13 to Lil Whispers at 6889 Highway 92 in the Acworth area.
They arrived on the scene and met with the victim, a 31-year-old Woodstock man, who said the subject, later identified as 41-year-old Jimmy Cruz of Acworth, fled on foot.

Witnesses told deputies that the parties got into a fight and during the altercation, Cruz allegedly "obtained a firearm and fired at the victim, but the gun did not discharge," the sheriff's office added.
Sheriff's deputies and a K-9 began a search of the immediate area, and Cruz was located in the woods. He was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault, affray and obstruction of an officer. He was booked into the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center with a $13,200 bond.
