On April 22, 2015, the angels came and took Daniel Kyle Lane.

He continued to follow his dream and graduated with bachelor’s degree in entertainment business, bachelor’s degree in graphic design and an associate’s degree in recording arts. Always creative on the computer, during college, he discovered that he had a passion for photography.
While trying to find work after college in his, he worked doing special photography including weddings. He was excited to be able to film the wedding of his sister Meaghan. He continued to work toward his dream of working in the Graphic Design and 3D creation and production. He was blessed to work with many small companies creating multimedia presentations, designing company marketing plans and product development before moving to Nashville to pursue his dream of being in the creative world of digital design, working on 3-D projects for Company presentations, Concerts, TV, and other types of production.

He continued in Nashville with DWP, and worked with one of his alumni doing creative content and learning a new part of the business of showing as a Pandora projection operation for projecting created videos on 3-D objects making objects appear as a screen. This past fall he was delighted to work for See the Music as a projectionists on the road as part of the concert tour “Parks and Devastation” for a group of bands headlined by “A Day to Remember.” He had done 3D creation for the tour. He was planning for a bright future and was going back to Nashville to work in his creative field. His goal was to reach a point in his career where he and his friends would be able to have company that could help at risk youth to learn photography and graphic design, and due to his experience in school, he wanted to start a scholarship fund to help people to entertainment business, stay in college, or get them through times of need.
He loved to travel. Panama City, Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando were some favorite destination as a child and young adult. He always had fun. He packed a lot of travel in his life, traveling to Cancun to celebrate his 18th birthday. He toured England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland as a child. As a teen he went to the first and several of The Gathering of the Jugaloos in Michigan and Ohio. As an adult he got to ski in Colorado with his brother. After college he loved the fact his job sent him all over the US including Hawaii, and to Europe, Germany and China to places he dreamed he wanted to go to. For several months he went to California frequently to work on the live production of the online game “Riot Games.” He went on to travel overseas to help with the League of Legends competition. He was so excited to be able to work in his field.
Kyle, as a person, was a warm, compassionate, caring, loving man. He always, from childhood, until his leaving, walked to the beat of a different drum, HIS drum, Kyle’s drum. He loved people, but never wanted to be the center of attention, he was a loner that didn’t always want to be alone, but would join from afar.
He was creative and planned to be a life-long learner, he planned to go back for his master’s degree in the near future. He loved to read non-fiction, how things worked, unusual facts, ghost stories (real ones), religions, inspirational books, biographies, and always what was new in his work, the world, politics, and how he could improve life. He not only learned, but shared his knowledge to all that were interested.
He loved karate as a child and took lessons and competed with Senseis Alan, Vince and Tammy. He traveled to many cities to compete until his teenage years. He always loved music and at 13 he took guitar lessons and built his first computer, and at 14 started creating music on the computer and continued until his departure. He help friends record their songs, and helped and encouraged them to do their best and make things work for them. His heart was so big and he was so compassionate, always there for his friends and family.
If you didn’t have a place to stay, he wanted you to stay at his house, or would help you find a place to stay through many of his friends and their families. He would give them anything they needed, even his last dollar if he thought they needed it more than him. He loved to see his friends do well, to accomplish their goals, and was so excited when they did good, but he was also there when their worlds crumpled. He looked at people not for who they were and saw them with his heart, not what they had or could give him or do for him.
He learned from everyone and every experience. He kept an open mind. He CARED. He was a beautiful man in stature, inside and out, and a gentle giant that was protective of all that needed his help or who he thought needed his help. No matter the time of day or night he would be there. He always pushed the limits and challenged himself, if he could dream it, he could do it.
His knowledge and intelligence was always present, but he was a humble and patient man. He worked hard and played hard, and enjoyed life and tried to stay positive, and encourage others to. He looked at the world on the bright side with a glass half full, but was a realist. He has left a tremendous void in the lives of his family and friends that will always be with us. He touched many lives and tried to make the world a better place.
He is preceded in death by his father Danny R. Lane, maternal grandfather Riley Medley, paternal grandmother Aylene Baker, grandpa Frank Carroll, his great-grandparents including Fannie Moon Lawrence, several great-aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his mother Sue Medley-Lane Carroll, current father Marc Carroll, his maternal grandmother Glenna Medley, his brothers Evan Carroll, Kevin Lane, and Brian Spring, his life partner Elizabeth Webb, aunts and uncles Nancy and Bo Ballard, Beverly and Tommy Wilkinson, Dianne and Paul Martaus, Jean and Bill Fouraker, godparents Sandi and Robert Tilton and sisters Meaghan Gibson and Chelsea Tilton. Many great aunts and uncles Leon, Willard and Phyllis, Wally, Rachel, Barbara, Phyllis and Russell, Brenda and Jay, Shirley and Terry and many cousins, as well as many brothers and sisters of his heart that have been there for him and with him through his short life.
WE WILL MISS YOU, AND ARE BETTER PEOPLE AND FOREVER GREATFUL FOR HAVING KNOWN YOU.
