Murder Suspect Arrested In Deadly Cherokee Shooting
An 18-year-old man is facing murder charges after another 18-year-old was fatally shot at a Cherokee Co. apartment, police say.
WOODSTOCK, GA — Police on Friday say they have charged an 18-year-old man with murder in connection with the shooting death of another man at a Woodstock apartment.
Woodstock Police said Prince Phillip Rolle of Locust Grove has been arrested in connection with the Jan. 26 shooting death of Matthew Milner, 18, at an Arnold Mill Road apartment.
During the investigation, police said they first identified the vehicle used in the deadly shooting before naming Rolle as a suspect.

They then obtained arrest warrants to charge Rolle with malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault, police said.

Atlanta Police arrested Rolle during an unrelated incident, and he was taken to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center, where he is currently being held, police said.
"I am proud of the great investigative work done by the Woodstock Police officers" Woodstock Police Chief Roland Castro said in a news release. "We are very grateful for the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, and it is my sincere hope that the Milner family finds a measure of closure through this arrest."
A motive in the shooting was not revealed.
