No Injuries In Dixie Drive Commercial Fire

It took crews about 6,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire Monday.

CHEROKEE COUNTY — No injuries were reported in a Monday afternoon commercial structure fire, according to the Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services.

Cherokee County responded with Woodstock Fire and Rescue.

Crews arrived around 4:45 p.m. to find a large fire involving tires, a vehicle and several other items behind a Dixie Drive business near Highway 92 in the southeast portion of unincorporated Cherokee, department officials said.

There was no structural damage, fire officials said.

According to the county department, it took about 6,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
