Northside Hosts Tennis Fundraiser For Breast Cancer Oct. 11
On Oct. 11, BridgeMill Athletic Club, Cherokee Tennis Center and Woodmont Club each will host a morning of tennis drills with Atlanta pros.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — Northside Hospital invites women in Cherokee County to join them in the fight against breast cancer. The hospital’s annual Tennis Against Breast Cancer will take place Friday, Oct. 11 at three local tennis centers.
BridgeMill Athletic Club, Cherokee Tennis Center and Woodmont Club each will host a morning of tennis drills with top Atlanta tennis pros. New in 2019: pickleball round-robins (for women and men) are being added at the BridgeMill location.
Each event will begin at 8 a.m. with breakfast, team photos and chair massages, followed by tennis drills and pickleball round-robins at 9 a.m. All three locations will conclude at the Cherokee Conference Center with a luncheon, fashion show, raffles and more.

This is the 17th year that Northside has hosted Tennis Against Breast Cancer, which raises funding for mammograms and transportation to under-insured women in our community. In 2018, the event helped provide more than 2,000 screening mammograms for under-insured women in our community; 27 breast cancers were detected.
Roughly 1,200 women participate each year in Tennis Against Breast Cancer events in Cherokee, Forsyth and North Fulton counties.
