Police Locate Former Atlanta Braves Outfielder Otis Nixon
Nixon, 58, was reported missing when he did not arrive for a scheduled tee time at a local golf course.
Updated at 12:45 p.m. Monday: WOODSTOCK, GA — The Woodstock Police Department said it has located the former Atlanta Braves baseball player who was reported missing in the city over the weekend.
Otis Nixon, 58, was found Monday and is "safe," the agency said on its Twitter account and Facebook page.
"We appreciate the assistance from the public and media," the police department added.

Police were told the former outfielder known for his memorable catches was last seen leaving his home near Sixes Road Saturday morning in a gray 2011 Range Rover. He was initially scheduled to take part in a tee time at a local golf course, but never showed up.
According to Fox Sports, Nixon played for several teams during his career, which spanned from 1983 to 1999. He was suspended before the 1991 World Series after testing positive for cocaine. In 2013, he was arrested on charges of drug possession in Cherokee County, Georgia.

Woodstock police did not release any additional details about Nixon's disappearance.
