Papa John's Seeks Truck Drivers at Job Fair in Woodstock

The company hopes to hire dozens of commercial truck drivers who will work out of its new distribution center in Acworth.

WOODSTOCK, GA - The Georgia Department of Labor will join forces with Papa John's Food Service to hire dozens of full-time delivery specialists at a recruitment fair on Saturday in Woodstock.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 10 at Chattahoochee Technical College's Woodstock campus at 8371 Main Street.

Papa John's is seeking 65 commercial truck drivers who will be assigned to work at the company's new distribution center in Acworth. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and they are required to have at least two years of previous tractor trailer driver experience within the last five years.

Applicants must also have a Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) and an acceptable motor vehicle report. They must also be able to operate the truck gates and work year-round. Salaries for the delivery specialist positions are $65,000 a year for the everyday at-home drivers and $75,000 a year for the regional drivers. Delivery specialists may receive a signing bonus of $10,000. They may also be eligible for an annual bonus of up to $12,000.

Employer-provided benefits include paid holidays, vacation time, sick and medical leave, along with a 401(k) plan. The employer will also provide the drivers with employee uniforms.
