Patch Honors Etowah High Graduates: Class Of 2020 Part 2

WOODSTOCK, GA — Patch wants to provide a way to share the achievements of our high school graduates, even if it's in a small way. With in-person instruction canceled through the rest of the 2019-20 school year due to the coronavirus in Georgia public schools, seniors are missing out on the last moments of what should be a celebratory time.

We know many high school seniors are missing milestone high school events, and we hope that this will give the community a way to share their pride in our class of 2020 high school graduates.

Each high school in Cherokee County will have its own graduation announcement compilation article.

Aaren Johnson, attending Kennesaw State University with a major in computer science

Steven “Fish” Riddick, received a scholarship to DePaul University in Chicago where, under their honor’s program, in five years, he will earn both a bachelors and masters degree in computer science - game design.

From the family: "You add the color and vibrance to our family and we are so proud of you and your accomplishments in drama and academics. The world is YOUR oyster so go out there and live your dreams! We love you!"

Rich Hoepfinger, attending University of Georgia to study computer science

Kristin Kerrigan, attending the University of West Georgia

Trent Donehoo, getting a degree in architecture and electrical engineering

Taylor Nichols, attending the University of Georgia and majoring in criminal justice

Jordyn Bronner, attending college for early childhood education

Kayden Lewis, attending The University of Alabama

Kamran Kutsal, works at Teatime on Townelake right now. He may go to KSU or go into nutrition/health fitness also wanting to build people's mental strength on faith, and seeing positivity in life.

Theron Matlock Jr. "TJ", attending Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He will be studying computer science

Christian Fontanez, attending community college for his first year and then Kennesaw State

From the family: "Christian, we are so very, very proud of the kind and gentle young man you have become! I know this whole COVID thing kind of messed up your plans for your 1st year of college but you are resilient and will succeed! Huge graduation party to come! Love Mom and Dad!"

Sydney Williams, attending Kennesaw State University, majoring in nursing to start pursuing her dream of being a physical therapist

Madison Zust, attending the University of Arkansas and plans to major in sports medicine and athletic training

From the family: "Madison, your dad and I, and your brothers and sister are so proud of you and all that you have accomplished. We know you will continue to great things at the UofA and beyond. We all love you so much and will miss you while you’re away at school!"

Zack Futch, enrolled in Georgia Trade Academy and getting his certifications to be a welder
