PETA picks the wrong issue to make it's point

It seems they can't help themselves from looking like nut jobs

Occasionally, I agree with PETA on some issues like protesting mis-treatment of elephants in circus shows. But it's rare that they make good points, such as associating an unfortunate traffic accident to eating meat. PETA cares more about animal lives than people, which again shows how nutty and heartless they really are. I want to know, PETA, if meat is murder, what is abortion? There is nothing controversial or unethical about having a nice, juicy steak for dinner. Millions of people, including myself, do it all the time. You whine about having the "gentle creatures", aka beef for dinner, but no mention of the truck driver who may have been injured in that terrible wreck. What about him and his family? No mention of that. For all you know, he was a vegan. Where's the sympathy for people? How about the "gentle lives" of the millions of unborn children destroyed mercilessly when other options are available that would satisfy both sides of that unnecessary, cruel act? I'll ask you again PETA, why do you care more about dumb animals than human beings? That sounds pretty un-humane to most rational people. Save the whales? Sure, but more urgently, save the babies!
