The request was unanimously tabled at the commission’s June 4 meeting.

Commission Chairman James Drinkard said the request to table was made after questions were raised about who owns the property under consideration and who has the authority to give permission for the applicant to make the request.

The city will have to re-advertise for a public hearing on the case, said Zoning Administrator Patti Hart.

Praxis3 Architecture has petitioned the city for a conditional use permit and variances on about 12.6 acres of land at 285 Ridgewalk Parkway.

The company is requesting the permit to allow for Nissan automobile sales and variances from lot size and dimensions, secondary setback, location and screening of parking, architecture and building material, block size, thoroughfare network, alley requirements, number of outbuildings, encroachment into the 25 foot impervious stream setback and signage.

The parcel sits on the southwest corner of Ridgewalk Parkway at Ridge Trail and is owned by Ridgewalk Holdings, LLC.
