Police: Camouflage Wearing Suspect Robs Walmart

Woodstock police say the suspect posed as a contractor before brandishing a handgun and fleeing with an unspecified amount of cash.

Residents are asked to help detectives with the Woodstock Police Department identify a man they say is responsible for robbing Walmart earlier this month.

The incident occurred around Nov. 6 at the big box retailer, which is located at 12182 Highway 92.

Around 5:30 a.m., a man posing as a contractor entered the store and after a extended period of time inside the facility, the ”suspect approached a Walmart employee where he brandished a hand gun and demanded that the employee give him money secured within an office,” Woodstock police said.

The employee complied with his demands, and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as a white male about 30 years old, between 5’8’’ and 5’11’’ in height and weighs between 160 and 180 pounds.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a camouflage shirt, brown hat and tan pants.
