Aguilera allegedly arrived at the park around 11 p.m. Oct. 17 with the intention of meeting the child he had been communicating online with since July, the sheriff’s office said on Saturday.
However, what Aguilera did not realize is the person he’d been exchanging messages with was an Internet Crimes Against Children detective with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office, said spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker.
