Police Identify Woman Found Dead Under I-575 Bridge

The 35-year-old Woodstock resident will be laid to rest on Wednesday, June 1.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- Funeral services are planned for Wednesday for the woman whose body was discovered early Friday morning under an Interstate 575 bridge.

The family of Tera Christine Bristow, 35, of Woodstock will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 31 at Woodstock Funeral Home, according to an obituary published by the funeral home. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. June 1 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Towne Lake. 

Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office were dispatched around 6:42 a.m. May 27 in response to a call that "someone had jumped from the Sharpe Mountain Creek bridge on the northbound lane of 575," spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker previously told Patch.

The bridge over Sharpe Mountain Creek is situated between Exit 24/Airport Drive and Exit 27/Howell Bridge Road in Ball Ground. Those deputies arrived on the scene and found a vehicle parked on the bridge and a body lying under the structure from an apparent suicide, Baker said.

Police subsequently identified the woman as Bristow.

According to her obituary, Bristow was born on March 9, 1981, in Ontario, Canada. After she graduated high school, she attended Georgia Southern University on a soccer scholarship. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in engineering, she earned a master's degree from Emory University. 

A mechanical engineer, Bristow was married to husband, Michael Bristow, and they had two daughters, Ella and Cameryn, the obituary states. 

Bristow is also survived by parents, Juri and Pamela Kudrasovs; brother, Justin Kudrasovs (Ashley); sister, Chelsey Kudrasovs; paternal grandmother, Elza Kudrasovs; father-in-law, Robert Bristow; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Ellen Bristow; nephews, Jack, Sawyer and Owen Bristow; and godparents, Paul and Gayle Schmidt.
