Police Seek Person Of Interest In Woodstock Shooting

A 16-year-old was taken into custody following the shooting Sunday along Ridgewalk Parkway. No one was injured during the altercation.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- The Woodstock Police Department is asking the public to help them identify a person of interest detectives would like to question in connection to a shooting that was reported Sunday evening along Ridgewalk Parkway.

Officers were dispatched to a call of shots fired around 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at Ridgewalk Parkway's intersection of Olde Rope Mill Park Road. When they arrived at the scene, police were informed that an altercation between three pedestrians and a motorist took place and shots were fired shortly after (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. The motorist, who was identified by police as the victim, was unharmed and no one else was injured in the incident. One of three people who was arrested Sunday evening is a 16-year-old juvenile, and the person of interest police are looking for is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20's. He also has a medium build and is between 5'9'' and 6 feet tall.

"We believe the male frequents the Canton area, but may have ties elsewhere," spokesperson Brittany Duncan added.
