Police: Suspect Enters Store, Demands Clerk Hand Over Dilaudid

The Cherokee Sheriff's Office said the man attempted to rob CVS Pharmacy on Highway 92 at Woodstock Road in unincorporated Acworth.

Investigators with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office are asking the pubic to help them identify a man who entered a local pharmacy and demanded its employees to hand over a narcotic painkiller.

Authorites say a man walked into CVS Pharmacy on Highway 92 at Woodstock Road in southwest Cherokee County around 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7 and “demanded they give him all the Dilaudid in the store,” said sheriff’s office spokesperson Lt. Jay Bkaer.

The man claimed to have a gun in his possession, but no gun was spotted on the suspect. The man left empty handed after he was told the store did not have the drug.

The suspect is described as a white male possibly in his 40s or 50s, about 5’8’’ tall and has either a gray or blonde facial hair.

Anyone who recognizes the man or may have information on the incident is asked to call 911.
