The Woodstock Police Department has confirmed with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office that reports of a suspicious vehicle driving around city streets were not correct.

The Woodstock Police Department is asking residents to call 911 if they see what they’ve coined a “suspicious vehicle” roaming some of its streets.

According to the agency’s Facebook page, a white mid-1990s style Ford Crown Victoria has been reported as questionable to the city as well as surrounding agencies.

“Complaints have been filed in Woodstock and surrounding jurisdictions of possibly this same vehicle suspiciously driving up and down roadways in neighborhoods around school buses,” the agency wrote.

The driver, identified as a white male, is also accused of “talking to children,” Woodstock police noted.

Anyone who sees the vehicle or the driver is asked to call 911.
