Police Work To Identify RaceTrac Armed Robbery Suspect
The Cherokee Sheriff's Office said a suspect, armed with a handgun, robbed RaceTrac on Highway 92 late Tuesday evening.

Investigators with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to help the identify a man accused of robbing a convenience store late Tuesday evening.
According to the agency’s press release, a man armed with a handgun allegedly robbed RaceTrac at 1135 Highway 92 in the extreme southwestern portion of the county around 11 p.m., spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker said.
The sheriff’s office said the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money from the store. The suspect is described as a black male, between 20 and 25 years old, about 5’6” tall and weighs around 165 pounds.

He was also wearing all black and left the area driving “what appeared to be a silver Kia Spectra with heavy damage to the passenger side of the vehicle,” Baker added.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information related to the incident is asked to call 911.
