Burglary Suspect Killed in Wreck During High-Speed Chase
The chase began following a report of a burglary at the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta in Woodstock.

An alleged burglary suspect was killed in an early Monday morning accident during a high-speed chase along Highway 92 in southwest Cherokee County.
An Acura was traveling westbound on Highway 92 west of Wade Green Road at a “high rate of speed” when the driver lost control of the car in a curve, traveled across the eastbound lanes, hit a curb, overturned and hit a retaining wall,” said Georgia State Patrol spokesperson Tracey Watson.

The suspects involved allegedly “fled from the scene after security approached them,” she said.
A description of three vehicles involved was given to patrol units. Duncan stated one of the vehicle was “spotted driving erratically,” almost striking two other vehicles, before exiting Interstate 575 at Highway 92.
Officers attempted to catch up to the car during the chase along the thoroughfare before the accident occurred. Duncan added officers continue to follow up on leads and gather information about the two additional vehicles allegedly involved in the incident.
