ICYMI: Restaurant Inspections: Dirty Equipment, Bad Beef Storage

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — Cherokee County Environmental Health published restaurant inspection results the week of Feb. 8 to Feb. 14. All restaurants with grades below A have a list of the requirements they violated.

• Handsink at grill did not have working supply of paper towels (soap dispenser also not working--using extra supply); paper towels not dispensing @ handsink in back kitchen (PIC corrected). All handsinks must be working and supplied with soap and paper towels. New Violation.
• Handsink at front counter out of service due to plumbing issue. All handsinks must be working and supplied with soap and papertowels. New Violation.
• Cooked beef bagged and placed in walk-in cooler at 154°F. This is not an approved cooling method. Beef was removed and correct procedure (Wendy's card) was used to begin cooling beef. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.
• Several to-go product boxes on floor in dry storage area. Keep items off floor. New Violation.
• No test strips for sanitizer. Obtain test strips. New Violation.
• Build-up on exterior of reach-in units must be cleaned. New Violation.
• Several broken floor tiles must be replaced. Replace missing drain grate in front of ice machine. Clean drain/pluming under prep sink. Repeat Violation.
