School Choice Reassignment Applications Accepted Feb. 1 - March 1

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — The window for school choice reassignments within the Cherokee County School District is Feb. 1 - March 1. This includes applications for Cherokee County STEM and Fine Arts Academies.

There are 14 district elementary schools “open” for the 2020-21 school year, meaning classroom space is available to accommodate students from outside the attendance zone, for requests, including four of the six district STEM and Fine Arts Academies. One middle school and one high school are also open.

More than 2,100 Cherokee County students currently utilize reassignment to select a school outside their attendance zone.
