A fifth grader at Bascomb Elementary, Juliette is a spunky 11-year-old who enjoys art, crafts, softball and playing with her friends.
She recently was diagnosed with a rare blood disease called myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and fibrosis of the bone marrow. Juliette received a bone marrow transplant in September.

With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $800,000, many transplant families are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure. The Children’s Organ Transplant Association is a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses.
“Supporting our local community and children in need is integral to Learning Express Toys,” said Jeff Weiss, owner of Learning Express Toys of Woodstock.
