Woodstock police spokesperson Brittany Duncan added the driver became entrapped in the vehicle and injuries sustained in the wreck propelled first responders to transport the woman by helicopter to the hospital.

Cherokee County Fire Battalion Chief Frankie Martinez said that the victim was in stable condition at the time of her life-flight to Atlanta Medical Center.

All lanes of Highway 92 were reopened around 4 p.m. Thursday, Duncan said. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
