Suspect Robs Subway At Gunpoint In Woodstock: Cops
The Woodstock Police Department said the armed robbery was reported New Year's Day on Highway 92.
WOODSTOCK, GA — The Woodstock Police Department is investigating the armed robbery of a restaurant on New Year's Day, and the public is being asked to help them identify the alleged perpetrator. Officers were dispatched at 9:27 a.m. Jan. 1 to Subway at 12035 Highway 92.
They arrived at the restaurant and were told a male subject entered the back door, brandished a semi-automatic firearm and "demanded money from the clerks," the police department said. The employees complied with the demands, and the man left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen walking westbound along the highway.
Police describe the alleged robber as a white male in his late 20's to late 30's, between 6 feet and 6'4'' tall, with a thin build and blue eyes. He was sporting a black Under Armour jacket (with the logo on the upper left side of his chest), dark pants, dark shoes with white soles, black beanie and a tan adjustable ball cap with an unknown logo on the front. The weapon described is believed to be a full-size semi automatic handgun, with a stainless steel or nickel slide, black grips or frame, all metal and between a 9mm and .45 caliber.
