Suspicious Packages Sent To Rep. Barry Loudermilk's Offices
The packages were sent to the Congressman's Woodstock, Cartersville, Cobb, and Washington, D.C. offices.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- Local and federal authorities are coordinating efforts to investigate a series of suspicious packages that were sent to the offices of U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk's district offices.

Shawna Mercer, a spokesperson for Loudermilk, said "our offices recently received several items that met the description of a suspicious package."
"Following standard security protocols, we reported the receipt of these packages to the Capitol Police," Mercer added. "We're confident that our local law enforcement and federal officials will handle the investigation."

Loudermilk has offices at 9898 Highway 92 Suite 100 in Woodstock, 600 Galleria Parkway Suite 120 in Cobb County, 135 West Cherokee Avenue Suite 122 in Cartersville and the Cannon House Office Building at the U.S. Capitol.
The incidents come on the heels of suspicious packages reportedly sent to the Savannah office of U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter and the Lithonia office of U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson.
The 11th Congressional District represented by Loudermilk, who lives in Cassville, includes Bartow and Cherokee counties and parts of Cobb and north Fulton counties.
