Taste & Sound Of Woodstock Award Winners Announced

The April 22 event kicked off the start of Woodstock Restaurant Week, which runs through Sunday, April 29.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Woodstock Restaurant Week kicked off Sunday with the popular Taste & Sound of Woodstock held at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater. Thousands of people sampled tastes of dishes from some of the Woodstock area’s best restaurants during the day-long festival.

Foodies can enjoy eight days of peace, love and food all throughout the city as Woodstock Restaurant Week continues through Sunday, April 29. Awards were presented to the top dishes in a number of categories. Bub-Ba-Q won the award for Best Appetizer for their Bubba Peno, consisting of smoked bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapenos.

Best Entrée went to Reel Seafood for its Shrimp & Grits. Freight Kitchen & Tap won the award for Best Dessert with its Hummingbird Cake. The People’s Choice Award went to Four 41 South BBQ Co.

Woodstock Restaurant Week is a great way for foodies to savor their favorites and also become acquainted with restaurants that are new in the area, Tiny Bubbles Tea Bar and Partners II Pizza, who both opened this spring, are offering special discounts to diners this week.

Salt Factory is featuring a $25 three course pre-fixed menu, which includes an appetizer, salad or soup, and an entrée. For their first course, guests will choose between our Louisiana Egg Rolls or Crispy Shrimp. Guests can opt for either a Caesar Salad or She Crab Soup for their second course. For their third course, guests will choose between London Broil, Pan Seared Rainbow Trout, or Chicken Pot Pie.

“Woodstock has an unexpected number of chef-driven restaurants in our downtown district and great culinary options are found all around the city,” said Stacy Brown, marketing manager for the city. “Woodstock Restaurant Week is bigger than ever this year – locals won’t want to miss out on the fantastic specials being offered.”

Restaurant goers won’t want to miss The Pie Bar "Two-Fer" Special: Two Slices of Pie + 2 Drinks = $10. Vingenzo’s is offering a fantastic $25 menu that includes Insalata (a salad course), a choice of Pizzas or Pastas, and Dolce (a dessert course).
