ACWORTH, GA -- Teachers and administrators from Clark Creek Elementary School STEM Academy recently got a chance to greet students and their parents ahead of the start of the 2016-17 school year.

School officials went on a bus tour this week of several neighborhoods and communities to meet with students and their parents, encouraging them to attend the school's open house.

The visits were also designed to get the students pumped up about the start of the school year, the Cherokee County School District said.
