Thomas Fountain Named Georgia Country Male Artist of the Year

Thomas Fountain, a teacher at Mill Creek Middle School in Woodstock, was also named Georgia Country's Overall Artist of the Year.

A teacher with the Cherokee County School District and country musician has been named the Georgia Country’s Male Artist of the Year.

Thomas Fountain also received the Overall Artist of the Year award, both of which were announced in November.

Fountain was in the running with fellow artists Tyler Hammond, Matt Pippin, Matt Rogers and Ryan West for the male artist award. Along with Fountain, Georgia Red Clay, Tiger Creek Band and Megan Fowler & Laughlin were all finalists for the Overall Artist of the Year award.

Fountain, who in 2013 was also a finalist for the Male Artist of the Year award, teaches physical education at Mill Creek Middle School in Woodstock.

A native of Ball Ground, Fountain and his band regularly plays at venues and events across Cherokee County, north Georgia and the United States.
