Traffic Delays Expected In Woodstock From Graduation Ceremonies

Woodstock Police are advising citizens of anticipated traffic delays this week due to Cherokee County high school graduations.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Woodstock Police are advising citizens of anticipated traffic delays from Thursday to Saturday, due to Cherokee County Schools hosting numerous graduation ceremonies at First Baptist Church of Woodstock.

The graduation schedule is as follows and heavy traffic is expected in the area of Highway 92 EB/WB as well as Trickum Road and Neese Road at least one hour prior to the start of each ceremony.

GRADUATION CEREMONIES:

  • Thursday, July 23
    • River Ridge High School, 4 p.m.
    • Woodstock High School, 8 p.m.
  • Friday, July 24
    • Cherokee High School, 4 p.m.
    • Sequoyah High School, 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 25
    • Creekview High School, 9 a.m.
    • Etowah High School, 1 p.m.

Uniformed officers with Cherokee County School District Police Department will be posted to assist with traffic congestion. However, it is recommended this area be avoided and alternate routes used if possible. If traveling to a graduation ceremony, allow for travel delays.
