The stage sits adjacent to the future home of Elm Street Cultural Arts Village and the Town To Creek Trail. The day’s events will start with a 5K race and 1 mile fun-run and will continue with live music, food and beer all situated in a festival atmosphere.
The 5K race will start at Elm Street and Main Street and will be an out-and-back race along the Greenprints’ Town to Creek and Noonday Creek trail segments.

Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers and overall age group finishers. The 1 mile fun-run is for children under 12 years of age. Registration details will be announced soon.
Live music will start on the event green following the conclusion of the races. Headlining this year’s event is The Dirty Guv’nahs. This six-piece brotherhood from Knoxville, Tennessee, is called “a fiercely soulful band” by the Boston Globe, and has been affirmed by Paste Magazine to “know rock and roll from the inside out.”
The live experience of The Dirty Guv’nahs has been hailed as one of the best in the southeast and according to Music Connection Magazine, “The Dirty Guv’nahs don’t just play music; they capture the human experience through song.”
Also returning to perform during the event is Davin McCoy and The Coming Attractions; more bands will be announced as part of the lineup in the coming weeks.
Several food vendors, beer vendors and outdoor recreational activities will also be available for participants.
While Trailfest always makes for a Saturday of exciting music, socializing and camaraderie, there is a greater purpose.
Trailfest is the biggest fundraiser for Greenprints Alliance, a nonprofit organization based in Woodstock that has an annual goal of raising $100,000 to advocate for and fund trail projects as part of the award-winning Greenprints Master Plan.
The plan encompasses about 60 miles of multi-use trails and paths in and around Woodstock. Trailfest draws more than 2,000 people each year.
Festivities will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., rain or shine. Ample parking is available all around downtown Woodstock.
Trailfest 2015 is proud to be associated with this year’s sponsors to date: Resurgens Orthapaedics, Reformation Brewery, Out Spokin’ Bicycles, Atlanta Communities Realty/Tara Daigle and resident Wayne Spencer.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the event online or via email at trailfest@greenprintsalliance.org, with a print materials deadline of April 15, 2015.
General admission to the festival and concert is free, but donations will be encouraged and accepted onsite and online. Visit the event’s website for more information.
