Tribute Band Brings Journey's Greatest Hits To Woodstock

The third installment of the 18th annual Woodstock Summer Concert Series will continue on Saturday with a performance by DEPARTURE: The Journey Tribute Band.

The act will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. July 11 at the Park at City Center, which is at 101 Arnold Mill Road.

Saturday’s concert will also feature a special guest performance by Electric Avenue, another tribute band who plays 80’s synth/pop hits.

After seven years together, DEPARTURE has become the “most respected Journey tribute band in the nation,” according to its website. More about the band:

DEPARTURE plays all the hit songs that everyone knows and loves. They can perform for 2 hours straight without a break to give the audience the true concert experience. Their performance is professional and highly engaging for their audience. Everything heard during their performance is live with no pre-recorded tracks used. Departure was voted Best Local Entertainer for 2011, 2012 and 2014 by Gwinnett Magazine. Performing approximately one-hundred shows annually, DEPARTURE brings the very best of Journey to audiences of all ages.

  • The Rupert’s Orchestra (Atlanta’s foremost party band)

September 12

  • Gimme Abbey (a tribute to The Rolling Stones and The Beatles)
