Two Injured in 4-Vehicle Crash in Woodstock

A four-vehicle pileup in Woodstock sent two people to an area hospital Tuesday evening.

The Georgia State Patrol responded around 6:15 p.m. Dec. 1 to the wreck, which occurred along Trickum Road at Apple Valley Drive.
A preliminary report indicates a truck carrying a trailer struck the rear of an Audi SUV. The impact “created a domino affect,” and caused the Audi to strike the back of a silver Chevrolet Silverado, the Georgia State Patrol said in a statement.

The Silverado was attempting to make a left turn onto Apple Valley Drive, but the impact forced the vehicle to cross the center line and enter the opposite side of the road. That action forced the Silverado to strike head-on a white Ford Econline van traveling in the opposite direction.
The couple in the Silverado were transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for treatment, GSP said.
