Woman Treated For Smoke Inhalation From House Fire
The fire started shortly before 9 a.m. Feb. 4 at a home off Arnold Mill Road in Woodstock.
A resident was transported to an area hospital for treatment after a Wednesday morning fire damaged her home in Woodstock.
Crews with Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services and Woodstock Fire and Rescue responded to a call of a fire just before 9 a.m. Feb. 4 at a home along O’Hara Drive, which sits off Arnold Mill Road.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find the front porch on fire and 35 percent of the house engulfed in flames, Cherokee fire said in a press release. One of the residents of the house, a 48-year-old woman, was treated on scene for smoke inhalation and was later transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for continued care.

“I think the lady is going to be okay,” said Sgt. Stephen McEntyre. “The firefighters made a good stop and saved half of the house.”
Cherokee County Fire Investigator Shane Daniel said the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. No other injuries were reported.
