Woodstock hired Guinn in February 2013. She replaced former Community Development Director Richard McLeod, who went to work for the city of Alpharetta in the same capacity.

Before coming to Woodstock, Guinn served as vice president for The Collaborative Firm, LLC, which offers clients expertise in urban planning, program management, engineering support and architectural services.

Before going into the private sector, Guinn was a planner with Henry County.

Moon said the city will begin advertising for the position later this week, a process he said could take 60 days. Starting June 1, Brian Stockton, the city’s economic development director, will serve in the interim.
