Woodstock Completes City Center Parking Lot Improvements
The parking lot has been resurfaced, restriped, and includes a new layout that's increased capacity to around 190 spaces.

WOODSTOCK, GA — The city of Woodstock has wrapped up significant improvements to the City Center parking lot, which is located along Towne Lake Parkway behind the Chambers at City Center.
The lot, the largest public parking lot in the downtown area, has been resurfaced, restriped, and includes a new layout that's increased capacity to around 190 spaces, including three additional handicapped spaces. The project was completed using proceeds from recent real estate transactions by the Downtown Development Authority.
The project also includes a new sidewalk providing a safe and defined pedestrian connection to the shops and
restaurants in downtown along Towne Lake Parkway. Additional improvements including lighting and
landscaping will be completed in the coming months, the city added.

“We felt that the improvements will go a long way to tie in this large parking facility, which in the past has felt
remote, to the activity in downtown and provide visitors and employees a safer alternative when coming to
visit or work,” sid Mayor Donnie Henriques. “We are hopeful that with these improvements and other
pedestrian improvements leading to the public parking available at the Chattahoochee Tech campus, north of
downtown, will result in better use of these underutilized parking facilities.”

Residents using the improved lot at City Center or at Chattahoochee Tech can catch a ride on the
complementary Woodstock trolley during service hours to get them to their destination. There are currently
more than 1,100 publicly available parking spots in the downtown area, with an additional 500 private spaces
available for visitors to businesses that own their own parking facilities.
Woodstock is planning to install more parking facilities using revenue from the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, which was approved by voters in November. You can learn more about parking in downtown and the Woodstock trolley by clicking here.
