Woodstock Crews Work Evans Street Fire

WOODSTOCK, GA — Two people had to be taken to the hospital after a fire around 12:45 a.m. Friday in the 700 block of Evans Street, according to Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services.

Heavy fire was at a two-story house, where three residents lived. According to the fire department, the residents were able to get out of the home before firefighters arrived.

A man and woman were taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for evaluation, fire officials said.

The American Red Cross is offering assistance, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
