Here are the top five stories today in Woodstock-Towne Lake:
- A Woodstock German Shepherd was the big winner of the Herding Group at the annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show this past Tuesday! Five-year-old River, officially known by GCHG CH Gem-N-I River of Urloved CGC, is owned by Richard A. Waits and was handled by Lenny R. Brown. River won out of 456 dogs in the Herding Group. - A 19-year-old from Woodstock was killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday afternoon. According to the Cherokee Sheriff's Office, it was described as a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Towne Lake Parkway. The name of the motorcyclist was Vander Damiano. "Preliminary indications are that speed was a contributing factor in this accident," said Capt. Jay Baker. (Cherokee Tribune Ledger News)
