Woodstock Farm Fresh Market Returns May 6

The 2017 season runs each Saturday from May through September, with a winter season slated for October through December.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- We are less than two days away from the opening of 2017 season of the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market, bringing fresh produce and homemade goodies to the masses.

This year's festivities will kick off at 8:30 a.m. and run until noon Saturday, May 6 along Market Street.

2017 marks the ninth year of the farmers market's presence in Woodstock. The Woodstock Farm Fresh Market has rules in place to help guarantee "that it is the best market in the region to get locally grown fresh produce," the city said.

Produce vendors are now required to grow at least 85 percent of the product they bring to the market. These vendors will be subject to inspection to confirm they are growing the required amount of produce.

"These rules were put in place to help guarantee that if you are a shopper at the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market, you can know for sure that the produce at the market is locally grown," organizers said.
