Woodstock Farmer's Market Opens Saturday

WOODSTOCK, GA — The 2022 season of the Woodstock Farm. Fresh. Market opens Saturday on Market Street in Downtown Woodstock. The market runs from 8:30 a.m. until noon. This year marks the 14th year of the farmer's market in Woodstock. The Woodstock Farm. Fresh. Market will be open every Saturday through Dec. 31.

According to organizer Kyle Bennett, "The market's rules guarantee that it is the best market in the region to get locally grown fresh produce by requiring vendors to grow at least 85% of the product they bring to the market."

To ensure these standards are being met, vendors are subject to inspection throughout the market season.

The market features a variety of items including locally grown produce, jams and jellies, honey, locally raised meats, seafood from the Georgia coast, fresh-baked bread and pastries, bath and beauty products and more.

Returning vendors such as Rockin’ S Farms, Trefoil Gardens, and Bettie’s Blueberry Jams & Jellies are crowd favorites. The market will feature many new additions this year like Southbound Barbecue, a Flavor of Georgia finalist for BBQ Sauces & Seasonings, Peach State Drinks with several tasty flavors of lemonade, Sweet Detente with a lineup of international desserts from eight different countries, and Chilcoat Bakes with their to-die-for desserts.

The 2022 Woodstock Farm Fresh Market will also feature monthly events with the Cherokee County Farm Bureau on the second Saturday of each month. These events include Watermelon Day, Apple Day, Pumpkin Day, and Farm Passport Day. There will also be live music on the first and third Saturdays of the month. On Saturday, local music artist Stephanie Berlanga will be performing at 10 a.m.
