Woodstock Fire Dept. Runs 'Smoke Alarm Blitz'

The department replaced dozens of outdated smoke alarms in dozens of homes in a senior neighborhood.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Dozens of homes in the Montclair Senior Living Facility now have up-to-date smoke alarms, thanks to the Woodstock Fire Department with the help of the Home Depot in Woodstock. They undertook the "Smoke Alarm Blitz" on Monday, Feb. 25.

"They had out dated alarms, some almost 14 years old," the fire department said on their Facebook page.

In all, they replaced smoke alarms in 67 homes.

The fire department worked Monday to make the community safer while building relationships with the people they serve.
