No Evidence Of Bomb At Etowah High School After Threat: CCSD
School officials warned that those responsible for the threat would face criminal charges and disciplinary action.
WOODSTOCK, GA — There was no evidence of a bomb after Etowah High School was evacuated Wednesday morning due to an anonymous bomb threat, school officials said.
The Cherokee County School District confirmed to Patch there were no reported injuries.
All students were cleared from the high school, and police are continuing to investigate, according to the school district.

Afternoon and evening activities will be held Wednesday, and school will open in-person Thursday, school officials said.
A message was sent to parents notifying them that school superintendent Dr. Brian Hightower issued the immediate emergency evacuation as suggested by law enforcement, according to the school district.

Student drivers were dismissed at 11:15 a.m. while buses were set to take students home afterwards, according to the school district.
Parents were asked to pick up car riders at 11:30 a.m. at E.T. Booth Middle School.
The school district asked parents not to call the school or go to the campus in efforts to keep driveways open for dismissal and phone lines clear.
Criminal charges and school disciplinary action are forthcoming for people involved in the bomb threat, district officials said.
"Making threats is not a joke. We take all threats to the safety and security of our students, staff and schools very seriously," school officials said.
