Woodstock Imposes 90-Day Moratorium on Billboard Permits

The reprieve will give the city time to review and update its existing ordinance.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- If you want to apply to construct a billboard in the city of Woodstock, you will have to wait three months before you can obtain a permit.

That's because the Woodstock City Council on Monday voted to impose a 90-day moratorium on accepting new billboard permit applications.

The vote, which was unanimous, was taken following the council's executive session held Sept. 26 to discuss litigation, real estate and personnel matters.
