Woodstock Investigating Fire at Apartment Complex
The incident occurred early Friday evening along Trickum Road south of Highway 92.

The Woodstock Fire Department is investigating a residential fire that occurred at an apartment complex early Friday evening.
The agency, along with crews from Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services, responded to a call around 5:10 p.m. March 27 of a fire at the Alta Woods Apartments, which sits along Trickum Road south of Highway 92, according to its press release.
Upon arrival, first responders found light smoke coming from an apartment unit on the third floor. Firefighters entered the apartment and extinguished the blaze, which was contained to only one room.

No injuries were reported. The occupant of the unit owns two cats, which escaped during operations to put out the fire. One of the cats has not been located, the fire department said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
