Woodstock Ladies Group Makes Blankets For Traumatic Events
The ladies group of Carmel Baptist Church in Woodstock made 17 blankets for first responders to give after traumatic events or disasters.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- A natural disaster or car crash can be traumatizing for children. But sometimes something like a handmade blanket can help ease the fear.
The ladies group of Carmel Baptist Church, in Woodstock, made homemade blankets and presented them recently at the church to the Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services Chaplain Response Team.
Members from the ladies group gave the 17 homemade blankets to Cherokee County
Fire Chaplain, Don Williams. The Chaplain Team will have the blankets available when they respond to emergency calls.

“The blankets are sometimes given to a child when the child has lost a parent or a sibling because of a traumatic event or disaster,” Williams said in a release. "The chaplain response unit would like to extend a special thank you to the ladies group of Carmel Baptist Church Ladies Group."
