Woodstock Places 9th In Best Cities For Young Adults
A survey conducted by Credit Donkey reviewed median income, crime data and the percentage of young people in a city or town.
The city of Woodstock comes in ninth place as the best places in Georgia for young people to reside.
That's according to a study conducted by Credit Donkey, which reviewed the 150 largest population centers across the state. The study also reviewed the median pay for college graduates, the percent of residents between the age of 20 and 34 and safety.
The survey checked U.S. Census data to determine the median income for those earning bachelor's degrees in each city or town and to also find the percentage of adults ages 20 to 34 living in that specific place.
It also reviewed FBI crime data, which would show how many violent crimes are reported to the agency each year for every 1,000 people.
With Woodstock, the city's median salary for college graduates was right around $57,000 and its percent of residents aged 20 to 34 was 22 percent. The crime rate per 1,000 residents was 1.7."With a farmers market, community concerts and downtown celebrations every Friday, this is a place to find real community," the study noted about Woodstock.
