Captain Kevin Culpepper of the Woodstock Police Department graduated earlier this month from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.

As a student in the 260th Session of the National Academy, Culpepper was among 218 law enforcement officers from 47 states, 20 international countries, five military organizations and three federal civilian agencies.
The session was held April 5 through June 12.

As the third highest ranking officer in the department, “Captain Culpepper has established himself as a skilled and dedicated public servant and I look forward to his innovative ideas as a part of the Woodstock Police Department’s ongoing commitment to training and development,” said Police Chief Calvin Moss.
Culpepper has served the citizens of Woodstock for more than 15 years and returns as commander of the department’s Patrol Services Division, which includes all uniformed patrol officers and detectives.
Internationally known for its academic excellence, the FBI National Academy offers ten weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training for selected officers with proven records as professionals within their agencies.
Courses are taught by some of the most knowledgeable and well respected experts in law, behavioral science, forensic science, leadership development, communication, and health/fitness. Participation is by invitation only through a nomination process.
Started in 1935, the FBI National Academy represents some of the most highly acclaimed executive development training available in law enforcement.
Its mission is to support, promote, and enhance the personal and professional development of law enforcement leaders by preparing them for complex, dynamic, and contemporary challenges through innovative techniques, facilitating excellence in education and research, and forging partnerships throughout the world.
Captain Culpepper joins more than 48,000 alumni of the FBI National Academy since its inception.
