Woodstock Police To Host Active Shooter Seminar

The two-hour seminar will be held on Tuesday, May 22 at Woodstock City Church.

WOODSTOCK, GA — The Woodstock Police Department will host an active shooter seminar later this month at Woodstock City Church. The city's public presentation of Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events, or C.R.A.S.E., will kick off at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 22.

This free two-hour course is open to the public and provides residents with strategies, guidance, and plans for surviving an active shooter event. Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Children are welcome to attend the seminar, but they must be accompanied by an adult. The seminar is taught by Woodstock Police Department training staff members.

C.R.A.S.E. is a course developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Center at Texas State University and is now taught by police departments and sheriff's offices across the country.
