Woodstock Prepares For Downtown Restaurant Week

Woodstock, GA -- You will soon be able to indulge in your favorites or try something new when the fifth installment of Downtown Restaurant Week rolls into town.

The initiative, presented by Main Street Woodstock, will return March 13-20.

“Downtown Restaurant Week is meant to be a celebration of our unique collection of restaurants and food stores,” said Mitzi Saxon, downtown program manager. “We have heard from our residents and visitors alike that they enjoy the opportunity to get out and try new restaurants or special menus at their favorite restaurants.”

Participating restaurants will offer prix-fixe menus and food stores will offer discounts. Menus and specials will be posted to the event website at www.woodstockrestaurantweek.com.

New this year are special events being held at participating locations throughout the week, including a kick off party at Pure Taqueria at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 10, a Pie Day celebration on Monday, March 14 at Pie Bar and a chance for children to take part in a kids pizza building contest at Ipps Pastaria from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19.

“Restaurant week gives us all the opportunity to provide excellent customer service to new and existing customers through creative menus and branding of our local concepts,” said Steve Wright, owner of Pure Taqueria. “Downtown Woodstock has become a unique shopping and eating destination over the past six years, (and) events like this will do nothing more than continue to strengthen each and every local business.”
