Woodstock Road Closure Starts Friday

The road will be closed to through traffic between Kellogg Creek Road and Victory Drive Oct. 28 through Nov. 8 for utility work.

ACWORTH, GA -- Cherokee County has pushed back the date when it will close a segment of Woodstock Road for utility work.

Originally scheduled to start Tuesday, the county will now kick off the work on Friday, Oct. 28.

Woodstock Road will be closed to through traffic between Kellogg Creek Road and Victory Drive until about Nov. 8 for drainage pipe replacement and roadway grade changes associated with the reconstruction of the roadway.

A posted detour will be provided during the duration of the construction. This route, the county adds, will involve motorists using Victory Drive.

Cherokee County asks that motorists obey the detour for their safety as well as for the safety of their neighbors and construction crews.
